John Curtis Holmes (August 8, 1944 March 13, 1988), better known as John C. Holmes, John Curtis Estes was born in Ashville, Ohio, Carl Estes and Mary Barton. He knew little of his father, leaving an alcoholic who train his family when John was still a child. Juan's mother was a pious, the Southern Baptist church, attending regularly, Chapel Milport with their children.
